Joint concert with American military bands
The joint concert of the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički,” the 122nd Army Band of the Ohio National Guard, and “Five Star Brass” from the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band was held last night in the Grand Hall of the Army House in Belgrade.

Our renowned composer, conductor, and educator Stanislav Binički founded the Belgrade Military Orchestra on September 26, 1899. As the first concert-style orchestra in Serbia, it laid the foundation for a proud musical tradition that has been upheld for three centuries by the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence, which proudly bears the name of the pioneer of Serbian military music.

Stanislav Binicki
Jedan od utemelјivača "Beogradskog vojnog orkestra" bio je i Stanislav Binički, kompozitor, vojni kapelnik, organizator muzičkog života u Srbiji, autor prve srpske opere "Na uranku" i patriotski nadahnutog "Marša na Drinu" i koji je 1899. godine kao dirigent stao na čelo ovog Orkestra, preteče današnjeg Umetničkog ansambla Ministarstva odbrane.
