The Ensemble received the annual award of the magazine “Muzika Klasika”, in the category “Orchestra of the year” and a public recognition “31st January” to mark 31st January – Day of the Town of Vranje.

According to the rationale of the expert panel, the reward of the magazine “Klasika Muzika”, which is awarded for the greatest achievements on the national music scene in the previous calendar year, went to the Ensemble “Stanislav Binički” in the exact year in which it had marked a significant jubilee – 120th anniversary of its existence, and on that occasion, with a series of concerts, reminded Serbian public of the importance of the orchestra not only for the military service, but as an actor in the Serbian musical life.

At the same time, the town of Vranje presented to the Ensemble a public recognition “31st January”, in gratitude for the key support and contribution to development of cultural artistic work of Serbia and for cherishing freedom-loving and patriotic traditions of the Serbian people. On that occasion, it was highlighted that, with its repertoire diversity, and adaptability of genres and high artistic criteria, the orchestra in a dignified fashion promotes and presents the Republic of Serbia, Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces to the national and foreign public.
